Pacific Daydreams & Golden Gate Festivals: A Quick Look at This Week's Bay Area Concert Schedule

This week, a number of bands will be making their way through the Bay Area in what is more than likely considered to be an incredibly busy week in the San Francisco music scene. Here's a quick look at five shows (and one festival) on our radar this week:

Two of the biggest bands in alternative rock will be making a stop at Shoreline Amphitheatre for an unforgettable evening of rock. Weezer and Pixies are currently performing on a once-in-a-lifetime co-headlining tour, with support from Sleigh Bells. With Warped Tour having just ended this weekend, fans of the alternative scene are going to want to keep the momentum going with a show featuring two of the scene's finest: Coheed and Cambria and Taking Back Sunday. Perhaps the most anticipated Bay Area music event of the year, Outside Lands Festival returns to Golden Gate Park this weekend with headlining acts that include The Weeknd, Florence + The Machine, Janet Jackson, Beck, CHVRCHES, Illenium, and many more. The Summer Slaughter Tour

Dubbed 'The Most Extreme Tour of the Year', the annual Summer Slaughter Tour will be making its Bay Area stop at Berkeley, CA's UC Theatre, for a day-long performance including some of the biggest and most 'extreme' bands in both progressive and death metal. Brutal acts like Born Of Osiris and Veil of Maya are set to support the show, while Between The Buried And Me will take the headlining spot this time around. (Purchase tickets here.)
