Underoath Release New Single, "Damn Excuses"

Today, influential metalcore act Underoath released a brand new song, “Damn Excuses”. This marks the first piece of new music from this six-piece band since their 2018 album, Erase Me. In a press release, keyboardist Chris Dudley stated the following about the inspiration behind the blistering new track:

“This song came out of nowhere for us. In hindsight, it probably stems emotionally from the anxiousness that a year of isolation will give you, and that ‘wanting-to-explode’ feeling came out with zero effort. It was therapeutic. This is us ready to get back into a loud room with sweaty people and experience something real together.”

You can check out the intense new single from the band, as well as the single artwork, below. (And while you’re at it, check out the band’s critically acclaimed “Observatory Livestream Series” from last year. It’s worth a listen and a viewing.)
