Volbeat Announces New Album 'God of Angels Trust', 2025 North American Tour Dates
Volbeat has announced that they will be releasing their brand new album, God of Angels Trust, on June 6th via Republic/Universal. To celebrate the forthcoming release, the band has unveiled a brand new single and music video titled “By A Monster’s Hand”. In a press release announcing the album, vocalist/guitarist Michael Poulsen stated the following:
"In the past, I've taken a long time to write and obsessed over so many elements of the songs before finishing them. This time, I wanted to make a Volbeat record without thinking too much about it. Instead of following any kind of structure I said, 'Okay, there are no rules. I can do anything I want. I can start with a chorus or do songs that are just a bunch of verses stacked on top of each other. Anything goes.' That was freeing for me and made it exciting to write this album."
The band has also unveiled they will be returning to the road this summer on what they’re dubbing “The Greatest Of All Tours Worldwide” 2025. The tour will kick off with a run of Canadian co-headlining tour dates with Three Days Grace (and support from Wage War). A U.S. headlining run will take place from July 17th in Denver, CO to August 22nd in Tinley Park, IL with special guests Halestorm and The Ghost Inside. Finally, the band will head overseas with support from Bush and Gel, which European dates set to kick off on September 18th in Herning, DK, wrapping up on November 13th in London, UK.
A Northern California date is set for July 24th at Wheatland’s Toyota Amphitheatre.
Tickets for all dates will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 14th at 10 AM local time. You can click here to pre-order the new album, and you can view the full track listing, album artwork, music video for “By A Monster’s Hand” and full tour routing below.
